Job Summary/Basic Function:

Teaches theories and practices of effective speech communication. Emphasis is placed on selecting topics, researching, presenting and writing a variety of speeches.

Essential Duties

Responsible to provide instruction to groups of student using available learning resources. Implements instructional strategies and motivates students to meet the objectives set forth in the course syllabus.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree AND 18 semester/27 quarter units in speech communications at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience, leadership and /or management experience. Ability to work with adult learners and inspire students to meet their academic and professional goals.

Work Hours:

Part time position.
