Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Learning Resource Center Assistant is responsible for developing and promoting the Learning Resource Center’s (LRC) instructional activities to enhance the learning experience for students.

Essential Duties

• Instruct Information Literacy as part of the College Success and Introduction to Writing classes each term.
• Assist students with research using electronic library resources.
• Assist students with educational software on the Learning Resource Center computers.
• Promote student and faculty use of campus Learning Resource Center.
• Coordinate and schedule all campus Learning Resource Center instructional activities.
• Serve as the campus contact person and faculty liaison for all Learning Resource Center related issues.
• Collaborate with others and work individually to produce a variety of informational and instructional materials.
• Work with faculty to integrate information competencies into the curriculum by integrating resource-based learning experiences.
• Maintain inventory control of Learning Resource Center and Instructor resources.
• Ensure Learning Resource Center cleanliness and organization of resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS).

Part-time; Both day and evening hours required, Monday – Friday.
