Job Summary/Basic Function:

Develops and strengthens a student’s understanding of the writing process. Knowledge of basic grammar as well as research skills needed to produce cohesive, coherent and well developed essays.

Essential Duties

Responsible to provide instruction to groups of students using available learning resources. Implements instructional strategies and motivates students to meet the objectives set forth in the course syllabus. Upholds the philosophy and mission of Santa Barbara Business College while instilling positive and progressive attitudes in all students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree AND 18 semester/27 quarter units in English at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience, leadership and/or management experience. Ability to work with adult learners and inspire students to meet their academic and professional goals.
