The Admissions Associate position requires the Associate to spend 70% of their day on the telephone: calling from generated leads, sharing college and program information, processing potential students through Financial Services, Orientation, and other required steps until they begin classes. The Admissions Department is a finely tuned organization and a high level of teamwork, personal motivation, integrity, and the ability to communicate clearly are necessary for any Admissions Associate success.It is a very rewarding position in that Associates help those who desire to improve their life through education!

Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Admissions Associate is an effective listener and questioner. The Associate is part of a team that provides guidance and admissions information to students looking to enroll at SBBCollege. Prospective students possess a range of experiences, motivations, fears, and goals. It’s the Admissions Associate’s job to uncover all of those and guide students to career and life paths that maximize their potential. Like a counselor or coach, the Admissions Associate works one-on-one with students, developing solid professional relationships, advocating personalized courses of action, and providing clear pathways for their students to proceed. Consistent communication is necessary to ensure the highest level of customer service to our students. This position requires a lot of flexibility. 70% of the daily routine will be spent on the phone.

Essential Duties
  • Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in education
  • Conduct all duties and responsibilities to achieve a win-win situation for students and the College
  • Assist prospective student through the enrollment process
  • Assess applicant’s interest, motivation and commitment for a recommendation of acceptance
  • Conduct career planning sessions according to guidelines
  • Ensure accurate completion and prompt submission of all enrollment documents
  • Provide thorough and meaningful follow up with prospective students
  • Thoroughly document notes and activity in College databases according to guidelines
  • Develop professional relationships that promote awareness and interest in the College
  • Develop prospective student inquiries
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent
  • Six months to one year of experience and/or training in admissions within the private educational sector
  • Ability to work autonomously while still being part of a team
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong phone and email communication skilss
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in admissions at a private post secondary school
  • Some sales or staffing agency experience
Work Hours:

Days and some late nights during the week. Saturdays as needed.
